Canoe, walk and drive along the Katherine River, accessing private land and pastoral leases not generally open to the public. The diversity of species along the Katherine River is attributed to the ‘ecotones’ or transitional areas where species diversification occurs. In 3 days we regularly view well over 100 of 220 bird species! A guarantee to see Great Billed Heron with possibilities of Rufous Owl, Red Goshawk (in season), Hooded Parrot and Gouldian Finch.
